Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

2004 Lexus IS 300 Base, AutomaticSECTION Removal
  1. REMOVE GENERATOR (See  REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  ) 
  2. DISCONNECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
    2. Remove the bolt holding the connector bracket to the water pump.

  3. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Remove the bolt and sensor.
      1. Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in..lbf) 
    2. Remove the connector bracket from the connector.
