Camshaft Position Sensor: Replacement

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT REPLACEMENT (2UZ-FE)  ) 
  2. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See  FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT  ) 
  3. REMOVE OIL COOLER PIPE (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. REMOVE TIMING BELT COVER SUB-ASSY NO.3 LH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  5. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
    2. Remove the bolt, stud bolt and camshaft position sensor.

  6. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Install the camshaft position sensor with bolt and stud bolt.
      1. Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) 
  7. INSTALL TIMING BELT COVER SUB-ASSY NO.3 LH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  8. INSTALL OIL COOLER PIPE (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  9. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See  FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT  ) 
  10. REFILL ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT REPLACEMENT (2UZ-FE)  ) 
  11. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See  COOLING SYSTEM (2UZ-FE)  )
