NOTE: When replacing the yaw rate sensor assembly, deceleration sensor or ECU, make sure to perform yaw rate and deceleration sensor's zero point calibration. Be sure to complete procedure once it is started.

Shift the shift lever to "P" position and turn the ignition switch ON. Repeat connecting and disconnecting Ts and CG terminals of DLC3 four times or more for 8 seconds. See Fig 1. Check that the VSC indicator light is lit indicating the recorded zero point is erased.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3. Ensure vehicle is stationary and shift lever is in "P" position. Turn the ignition switch ON.
Do not move the vehicle for 15 seconds or more. At this time the VSC warning light is on for 15 seconds and goes off. Zero point calibration for yaw rate sensor is completed.
Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration. See DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION .

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

• You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.

• Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.

• The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.

• You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.

• You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
