Steering Sensor: Replacement

  1. PRECAUTION (See  AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  ) 
  2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See  AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  ) 
  3. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2 (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  6. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 

    SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)

  8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  9. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  10. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  11. REMOVE STEERING SENSOR 
    1. Remove the steering sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 2 claws and remove the steering sensor.
    3. Remove the 10 steering sensor terminals from the connector.

  12. INSTALL STEERING SENSOR 
    1. Follow the table below to install the 10 steering sensor terminals on the connector.
