No-Load Test
Connect battery and ammeter to starter. See Figure or Figure . Perform STEP 4. Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily with pinion gear moving out. Amperage draw should be within specification. See NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONS table.
