No-Load Test

CAUTION: DO NOT operate starter motor for more than 3-5 seconds.

Connect battery and ammeter to starter. Refer to step No. 4 in illustration. See Figure. Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily. Amperage draw should be within specification. Refer to NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONSΒ  table.
