DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage and Current Monitoring
  1. Defected HECU
Threshold Value Case 1 (Solenoid Valve Open/Short to GND)
  • If the valve relay "ON" and corresponding solenoid driver is "OFF" and below condition lasts for 56 msec. -
    • ABS Valve : Solenoid Valve voltage is less than 2V
    • ESC (ESP) Valve : Solenoid valve voltage is less than battery voltage * 0.33V (ex. Approx. 4.2V when Battery voltage is 12.6V)
  • If valve relay "ON" and corresponding solenoid driver is "ON" and below condition lasts for 56 msec.
    • - ESC (ESP) Valve (Current Regulated Channel) : Solenoid valve current is less than target current * 90%
    • - ESC (ESP) Valve (Current Non-Regulated Channel) : Solenoid current is less than 300 mA
Case 2 (Solenoid Valve Short to Battery) * If valve relay "ON" and corresponding solenoid driver is "ON" and below condition lasts for 56 msec.
- ABS Valve : Solenoid valve is higher than 6A
- ESC (ESP) Valve (Current Regulated Channel) : Solenoid Valve current is higher than 2.5A- ESC (ESP) Valve (Current Non-Regulated Channel) : Solenoid Valve current is higher than 5A
Fail Safe
  • EBD/ABS inhibited (ABS Only)
  • * EBD/ABS/CBC/TCS/ESC (ESP/HAC/VSinhibited (ESC [ESP] Only)
Warning Indicator Lamp Status * EBD/ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition * Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
