- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Drain the engine coolant (Refer to COOLANT ).
- Remove the radiator upper hose (Refer to RADIATOR ).
- Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).
- Remove the intake manifold (Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD ).
- Remove the mounting bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
