Component Inspection

2015 Kia Forte5 SX, Standard TransSECTION Component Inspection
  • Check TPS Performance 
    1. IG KEY "OFF".
    2. Connect CH A probe to signal terminal MAPS and CH B probe to signal terminal of TPS connector.
    3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
    4. Measure signal waveform of MAPS and TPS together by stepping on and off the accelerator pedal.

      Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

  • Confirm Part Inspection 
    1. Does the TPS operate properly? (Check variation)

      YES 

      NO 

      • Substitute with a known-good TPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace TPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
