- Check TPS Performance
- IG KEY "OFF".
- Connect CH A probe to signal terminal MAPS and CH B probe to signal terminal of TPS connector.
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Measure signal waveform of MAPS and TPS together by stepping on and off the accelerator pedal.
Specification: Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA
- Confirm Part Inspection
- Does the TPS operate properly? (Check variation)
YES
- Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good TPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace TPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
