Fuel Rail & Injectors: Removal
- Depressurize fuel system. See RELEASING FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE .
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Disconnect four injector connectors.
- Disconnect fuel line quick connector from fuel rail.
- Remove accelerator cable bracket, two bolts and one nut.
- Disconnect accelerator cable.
- Remove two bolts attaching fuel rail to intake manifold.
- Remove fuel rail assembly.
- Remove four retaining clips attaching fuel injectors to fuel rail.
- Remove two fuel injector insulators.
- Remove fuel pulsation damper.
- Clean mating surfaces.
