Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Functional Description - Auxiliary Switch Bank Module 2 (ASBM2)
The ASBM2 sends the request signal to the BCM with the intent of sending the park assist ON/OFF switch state. The ASBM2 receives a gated BCM LED control signal with the intent of:
- Controlling the behavior of the ON/OFF switch status.
- Displaying the appropriate LED indicator status.
The park assist LED is controlled by the PAM. The PAM sends a signal to control the status of the switch and a signal to request the ASBM to display the appropriate LED indication of either ON, OFF or blinking. A blinking light indicates a fault in the park assist system. The PAM will command the switch to blink for five seconds. Once the five second timer expires the PAM requests a continuous light.
