Functional Description - Overhead Console Tailgate Release Switch
The liftgate release switch is located within the overhead console. This switch is only serviced with the overhead console.
The liftgate release switch communicates over the LIN bus to the BCM when the switch is actuated. The BCM sends a signal via CAN to the rear liftgate module to open or close the liftgate depending its position.
