Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Hands Free Release Module (HFRM) With Kick Sensor
| Refer to COMPONENT INDEXΒ . |
When the HFRM initiates a request, the PLGM receives the LIN request. The PLGM confirms that operation conditions are met, then the PLGM sends a liftgate hands free request indicating that a passive entry request has been made. The RF-Hub interrogates the request and authorizes when verification is successful. Essentially the hands free system is in effect a passive entry proximity feature.
