Z-Case Fuse Array: Removal

2023 Jeep Compass RedSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the Power Distribution Center PDC cover by pressing inward on the latches located on the sides of the PDC.

  3. Remove the nut (3) that secures the battery cables to the PDC. Remove the cables.
  4. Remove the nuts (2) that secure the power cables to the PDC. Remove the power cables.

  5. Loosen the screw (2) that secure the PDC wire harness connector on the underside of the PDC (1).
    NOTE:

    These screws are captured and cannot be completely removed.

  6. Use a trim stick or equivalent tool to release the latches (4) that secure the PDC (1) to the PDC bracket (3) and separate the two.
  7. Remove the wire harness connector on the underside of the PDC by gently wiggling from side to side while pulling.
  8. Remove the PDC (1) from the vehicle.

  9. Remove the fasteners (2).

  10. Remove the RIGHT fuse array (2) from the PDC (1).

  11. Remove the LEFT fuse array (2) from the PDC (1).
