The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) oil is fill for life and does not require a scheduled maintenance service.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
or BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Power Transfer Unit (PTU) Oil Fill Plug - Remove the PTU oil fill plug and check the oil level is just below the bottom edge of the fill hole.
- If necessary fill the PTU to the bottom of the fill plug hole using the specified fluid. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
- Clean and tighten the PTU fill plug securely.
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
