Removal And Installation: Installation
2023 Jeep Compass AltitudeSECTION Installation
- If removed, install the steering wheel switches.
- Position the steering wheel (3) on the shaft, aligning the references on the steering wheel and on the steering column.
- If equipped, install the steering wheel damper.
- Connect the steering wheel wire harness connector (1).
- Install a NEW steering wheel nut (2) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install drivers airbag (Refer to RESTRAINTS/AIR BAG, DRIVER/REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
- Connect the negative battery cable.
