- Is the gateway module used to convert BUS messages, then broadcasts them from one bus to another.
- Reads the state of the door, swing gate and hood switches before enabling CRANK
- The BCM is responsible for actuating the starter relay low side driver once commanded by the PCM high side relay CRANK command.
- Receives over LIN bus the IBS information about raw battery current, voltage, and temperature levels.
- Is responsible for deactivating the starter motor.
