HVAC Verification Test

Perform the following procedures to verify that the repair(s) are valid.
- Make sure that all accessories are turned OFF.
- Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors.
- With the scan tool, record and erase all DTCs from ALL modules.
- Turn the ignition OFF, disconnect the scan tool from the Data Link Connector (DLC). Open the door and close the door. Wait a minimum of 30 seconds, then turn the ignition ON. Reconnect the scan tool.NOTE:
Disconnecting the scan tool and opening and closing the door will allow the controller to enter into sleep mode.
- With the scan tool, perform the HVAC ACTUATOR CALIBRATION TEST.
- Start and run the engine for two minutes while operating all functions of the system that caused the original concern.
- With the scan tool, check for DTCs in all modules. Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to DTC INDEX (1 OF 2) and/or DTC INDEX (2 OF 2) .

When to See a Mechanic
