REMOVAL





1. Remove the negative battery cable retainer (1).
2. Remove the negative battery cable (2) from the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) (5).
3. Disconnect the harness connector from the IBS (3).

WARNING: Do not remove the captive nut, doing so will cause the stud to break.

4. Loosen the captive nut (4).
5. Remove the IBS sensor (5) from the battery.
