2011 Jeep Liberty 4WD V6-3.7LSECTION Powertrain Control Module - Installation





INSTALLATION






NOTE: Right hand drive PCM is in a different location (shown below).

1. The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) (3-Left Hand Drive), or (3-Right Hand Drive) is located in the engine compartment.
2. Position PCM (3-Left Hand Drive), or (3-Right Hand Drive) to vehicle.
3. Install PCM mounting screws (5-Left Hand Drive), or (4-Right Hand Drive). Tighten screws to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Connect PCM electrical connectors (4-Left Hand Drive), or (5-Right Hand Drive).
5. Connect negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to PCM/ECM REPROGRAMMING for reprogramming procedures. If this step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set. Programming and Relearning

CAUTION: Use the scan tool to reprogram the new PCM with the vehicles original identification number (VIN) and the vehicles original mileage. If this step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.
