Diagnostic Test

2009 Jeep Commander Overland, 4WDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Using the scan tool, clear all FCM DTCs.
    3. Turn the High Beam Headlamps on.
    4. With the scan tool read the DTC information.

      Does the scan tool read: B1633-LEFT HI BEAM CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. (L33) LEFT HIGH BEAM OUTPUT CIRCUIT

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the FCM C2 harness connector.
    3. Disconnect the Left Headlamp harness connector.
    4. Measure the resistance between ground and the Left High Beam Output circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No
