Engine Torque Specifications

TORQUE
Cylinder Head Torque
Tighten bolts 1 - 10 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
Verify that bolts 1 - 10 have all reached 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.), by repeating step 1 without loosening the bolts.
Tighten bolts 11 - 14 14 Nm (89 in. lbs.).
Rotate bolts 1 - 10 an additional 90°.
Rotate bolts 1 - 10 an additional 90° again.
Tighten bolts 11 - 14 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs).
Head Bolt Reuse/Replace
The cylinder head bolts are tightened using a torque plus angle procedure. The bolts must be examined BEFORE reuse. If the threads are necked down (2) the bolts should be replaced.
Intake Manifold
Camshaft Bearing Cap
Main Bearing Cap Torque
Tighten bolts 3 Nm (26 in. lbs.)
Tighten bolts 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)
Rotate bolts 90°
Tighten bolts 23 Nm (20 ft. lbs.)
Flex Plate
Oil Pump
Exhaust Manifold
Left Side
Right Side
Water Pump
