Generator - Installation
2008 Jeep Compass 2WD L4-2.0LSECTION Generator - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Install the generator (1).
2. Rotate generator and set in place.
Make sure battery terminal (1) is in front of A/C line (2).
3. Install the upper mounting bolt.Tighten bolts to GAS 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the B+ terminal nut and wire and.Tighten to 10 Nm (88.5 in. lbs.)
5. Plug in the field circuit to the generator.
6. Install the lower mounting bolt.Tighten bolts to GAS 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the A/C compressor A/C Compressor - Installation.
8. Install the accessory drive idler pulley.Tighten bolt to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
9. Position back the serpentine belt .
10. Install the accessory drive splash shield.
11. Install underbody air dam.
12. Install the right front wheel.
13. Recharge the A/C system Refrigerant System Charge.
14. Connect the negative battery cable.
15. Install the air cleaner fresh air duct (2) and rotate the two retaining clips (3) to install.
