Anti-Lock Brake Verification Test
- Turn ignition off.
- Connect all previously disconnected components and connectors.
- Turn off all accessories. Ensure battery is fully charged.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, erase DTCs from all modules. Start engine and allow engine to idle for 2 minutes. Operate malfunctioning system.
- Turn ignition off. Wait 5 seconds. Turn ignition on. Recheck for DTCs from all modules.
- If any DTCs are present, go to appropriate diagnosis and repair procedure. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
- If no DTCs are present, road test vehicle for at least 5 minutes. Perform several ABS braking stops.
- Using scan tool, check for DTCs again. If any DTCs are present, go to appropriate diagnosis and repair procedure. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
- If no DTCs are present and customer complaint cannot be duplicated, repair is complete.
CAUTION:
Ensure vehicle can stop before performing ABS braking procedure.
