Toe-In Adjustment

  1. Find steering gear center pivot point by counting steering wheel turns (lock-to-lock). Turn steering wheel 1/2 the total lock-to-lock turns. Lock steering wheel in centered position.
  2. Loosen adjuster tube clamp bolts and adjust the center link which connects the pitman arm to right wheel. Set right wheel toe to specifications. Position clamps with nut toward front of vehicle. Tighten clamp bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m).
  3. Loosen adjuster tube clamp bolts and adjust the tie rod which connects center link to left wheel. Set left wheel toe to specifications. Position clamps with nut toward rear of vehicle. Tighten clamp bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m).
