This test consists of eight menus:
- Lights
- Relays
- EVAP
- Fuel System
- Instruments
- EGR Control
- Variable Intake Manifold Solenoid
- Injector Balance Tests
Testing is carried out with TECH 2 scan tool, or equivalent. Scan tool sends operating signals to confirm output operation, confirming normal operation. Testing is useful to detect intermittent problems use scan tool to:
- Confirm DTC freeze frame data, and match freeze frame data as test conditions with data list displayed by miscellaneous test.
- Confirm DTC setting conditions, and match setting conditions as test conditions with data list displayed by miscellaneous test.
- Refer to latest Service Bulletins. Verify that latest software release is available.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
