Repair Procedures: Removal

2014 Hyundai Equus SignatureSECTION Removal
  1. Remove the center console.

    (Refer to FLOOR CONSOLE .

  2. Disconnect the sports mode connector (A).

  3. Remove the shift cable assembly (A) from the shift lever assembly.

  4. Remove the shift lever assembly (A) by removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque:Β 

    7.8 ~ 12.7 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.3 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 9.4 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the clip (C).
  6. Remove the shift cable (A) from the inhibitor by removing the nut (B).

    Tightening torque:Β 

    12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)

  7. Remove the shift cable assembly (B) by removing the nuts (A).

    Tightening torque:Β 

    6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)
