Repair procedures: Installation

2014 Hyundai Elantra GT Standard TransSECTION Installation
CAUTION:
  • When installing, set room side Shift lever and T/M side lever to N position.
  1. Install the control cable (B) and clip (A) on the bracket.

  2. Install the washer (B) and pin (A).

  3. Tighten the nut (B) after install the retainer (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)

  4. Install the crash pad and cowl cross bar.

    (Refer to "COWL CROSS BAR ASSEMBLY ")

  5. Install the heater unit.

    (Refer to "HEATER UNIT ")

  6. Install the cable guide (B) on lever assembly.

  7. Install the shift cable (B) and clip (A).

  8. Shift lever to "3rd".
  9. Install the snap pin (A) after install the select cable (B).
    CAUTION:
    • Install the snap pin (A) after adjust the select cable (B).

      (Refer to "ADJUSTMENT ")
