Repair Procedures: Replacement
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the console front complete assembly.
Refer to FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY .
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
Refer to CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL .
- Remove the glove box housing.
Refer to GLOVE BOX HOUSING .
- Remove the heater control unit.
Refer to HEATER & AC CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) .
Refer to HEATER & AC CONTROL UNIT (DATC) .
- After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the crash pad garnish [LH] (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center crash pad cover (A).

- After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad center lower panel (A).
- Disconnect the console under lamp connector (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
