Bench Testing: Brushes

2000 Hyundai Sonata Base, AutomaticSECTION Brushes
  1. Replace brushes if worn to limit line. See Fig 1. Replace all brush springs if any springs are damaged or corroded.
  2. To remove brushes from holder, unsolder pigtail from terminal. To replace, install brush and spring so that space between limit line and brush holder end is .079-.118" (2-3 mm). Solder pigtail to brush holder.
