  1. Determine if vehicle is difficult to start when engine is hot. Check fuel pressure. See BASIC TESTING article. Ensure there are no fuel leaks. Determine if all injectors are operating properly.
  2. Inspect ECM power supply and ground circuits. Inspect MFI control relay. See SYS/COMP TESTS article. Inspect crankshaft position sensor and TDC sensor. See CODE 22 (CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR) and CODE 23 (TOP DEAD CENTER SENSOR).
