Position the BCM to the vehicle.
Attach the BCM to the hinge pillar with the integral tab.
Install the 2 fasteners retaining the BCM to the hinge pillar.

Install the fastener retaining the body wiring harness electrical connector to the BCM.

Connect the I/P wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the BCM.

Connect the body wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the BCM.
Install the right front hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Right Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
If installing a replacement BCM, program the BCM. Refer to Control Module References .

When to See a Mechanic

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

• You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.

• Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.

• The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.

• You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.

• You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
