Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
DTC P0563: General Description
If there is a short to ground in the harness between the powertrain control module (PCM) and PGM-FI main relay 1 circuit, PGM-FI main relay 1 circuit stays ON even if the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode, and the PCM remains active. However, the engine is not running because power for the gauges, the ignition, and the fuel pump is turned OFF by the power switch. When the PCM operates for a set time after the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode, it detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
