Fuel Pump Control (Insight)
When ignition is turned on, PCM energizes fuel cut relay for 2 seconds to provide power to fuel pump to pressurize fuel system. With engine running, PCM energizes fuel cut relay to provide power to fuel pump. When engine is not running and ignition is on, PCM stops energizing fuel cut relay which in turn cuts power to fuel pump.
