Repair Procedures: Removal
2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T Advanced, AWDSECTION Removal
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
CAUTION:
- Wait at least 30 seconds after separating the cable.
- Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.
- Remove the driver airbag.
(Refer to Restraint - "DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING ")
- Disconnect the steering wheel connector (A).
- Loosen the steering wheel lock bolt (A) and then remove the steering wheel.
Tightening torque:Β
44.1 - 49.0 N.m (4.5 - 5.0 kgf.m, 32.5 - 36.2 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Do not use the hammer for disconnecting on the steering column not to damage the steering column.
- Do not reuse the steering lock bolt.
- When assembling, match the gear teeth as shown in the below illustration.
