- Connect transmission range switch connector.
- Measure voltages between each terminal and chassis ground during shift lever changed "P, R, N, D".
Specification: See below "Transmission range switch specification"
Transmission range switch Pin P Not P P position Pin No. 1 12V (Ps) 0 SW1 (parking) Pin No. 2 12V 0 SW2 (Not P) Pin No. 4 0 12V Not P position Pin No. 8 0 12V (Ps) - Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Go to next procedure.
NO
- Check a battery short circuit, a ground short circuit at the wiring of transmission range switch.
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
