Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION:
  1. Put on gloves before removing/installing the drive unit.
  2. Do not install or carry a push rod, controller and wire harnesses by holding it with bare hands.
  3. Be careful when removing the push rod, the trunk may close.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the right trunk trim after opening the trunk.

    (Refer to Body - "TRUNK TRIM ")

  3. Separate the power trunk module push rod pin (B) and then remove the power trunk module connecting rod (A).

  4. Remove the power trunk module & drive unit (A) after disconnect the connector (B) and loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.

  5. Remove the power trunk module (A) after disconnecting the power trunk module connector (B) and loosening the mounting screws.
