  1. Install a NEW air cleaner element (4).
  2. Position the air cleaner housing cover (3) (with outlet duct) onto the air cleaner lower housing.
  3. NOTE:

    Ensure the windshield washer hose is routed properly and not trapped between the upper cover and lower housing.

  4. Connect the windshield washer hose clip to the air cleaner housing cover.
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct onto the throttle body.
  6. Tighten the 6 air cleaner housing cover screws (2).
  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (1) at the throttle body.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the clamp to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  10. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
  11. Connect the PCV quick disconnect (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  12. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
