C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) Bracket









Removal

Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) or bracket

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. If a new C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) is being installed, connect the scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the original C-CM (Cruise-Control Module). For additional information on configuration, refer to PMI (Programmable Module Installation) in Information Bus. Programming and Relearning

3. Remove the front bumper cover.

4. Gently pry the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) away from the retaining studs.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.


5. Inspect the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) grommets for any damage and install new grommets as necessary.

6. Remove the 4 bolts and the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) bracket assembly.

Installation

1. Install the 4 bolts and the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) bracket assembly.
- Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

2. NOTE: If a plastic grommet breaks while the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) is being installed, a new grommet should be installed.
Firmly apply pressure to the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) so that it seats completely in the grommets.


3. Once the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) is installed, pull the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) to confirm that all 3 ball studs are fully seated in the grommets.

4. Connect the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) connector.

5. If a new C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) was installed, it must be configured (using vehicle as-built data or module configuration information retrieved earlier in this procedure). For additional information on configuration, refer to PMI (Programmable Module Installation) in Information Bus. Programming and Relearning

6. Vertically and horizontally align the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module). For additional information, refer to Cruise Control Module (C-CM) (with Sensor) Adjustment Adjustments.

7. Install the front bumper cover.
