Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Programming: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 29 other vehicles, including the 2000 Mercury Villager, 2000 Mercury Sable, 2000 Mercury Mystique, 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, and 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Permanent entry code programmed in driver's door module is taped to driver's door module or on wallet card provided with owner's manual. Driver's Door Module (DDM) will erase all previously programmed remote transmitters when a new remote transmitter is programmed. If adding an additional remote transmitter, all existing remote transmitters must be reprogrammed at the same time.
