  2. Install new fuses. Turn ignition on. If fuses fail again, go to next step. If fuses are okay, go to step 4).
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug Black REM connector. See Fig 1. Unplug 16-pin and 14-pin interior fuse panel connectors. Measure resistance between Blue/Red wire at 16-pin fuse panel connector and ground. Measure resistance between Black/Yellow wire at 14-pin fuse panel connector and ground. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, repair wire(s) in question. If resistances are greater than 5 ohms, replace fuse(s), then go to next step.

  4. Reconnect interior fuse panel wiring. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTERΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If system responds correctly, refer to TROUBLE SHOOTING chart, if necessary. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition off. Replace transmitter batteries. Turn ignition on. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTERΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If system responds correctly, transmitter is okay. Refer to TROUBLE SHOOTING chart, if necessary. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition on. Program new transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTERΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If system responds correctly, replace original transmitter. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition off. Unplug Black REM connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at Blue/Red and Black/Yellow wires at connector. If voltages are more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltages are less than 10 volts, repair wire(s) in question.
  8. Turn ignition off. Unplug Gray REM connector. Measure resistance of Black wire between connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, temporarily substitute known good REM, then retest system. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire.
