1994 Ford Probe Base, StandardFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Check
- Turn ignition off. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect ABS control unit connector. On Escort and Tracer, ABS control unit is located underneath passenger's seat. On Probe, ABS control unit is located behind left cowl side trim panel.
- Set DVOM on 5-volt AC scale. While rotating each wheel at 60 RPM (one revolution per second), measure and record voltage at each of following wires at ABS control unit connector. See PINPOINT TEST WSS-5 CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION table.
- If ALL voltages are .25-3.0 volts AC, go to PINPOINT TEST WSS-7 . If voltage is not with specification, go to PINPOINT TEST WSS-6 .
