- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Install NEW fuses. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If fuses fail again, go to next step. If fuses are okay, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Black control module connector No. 2. See Fig 1. Disconnect 16-pin and 14-pin interior fuse panel connectors. Measure resistance between Blue/Red wire at control module connector No. 2 and chassis ground at 16-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between Black/Yellow wire at control module connector No. 2 and chassis ground at 14-pin connector. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, repair wire(s) in question. If resistances are greater than 5 ohms, replace fuse(s). Go to next step.
- Reconnect interior fuse panel connectors. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTERΒ under PROGRAMMING. If system responds correctly, refer to TROUBLE SHOOTING chart, if necessary. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Replace transmitter batteries. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTERΒ under PROGRAMMING. - Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Black control module connector No. 2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using voltmeter, measure voltage of Blue/Red wire and Black/Yellow wire at connector. If voltages are more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltages are less than 10 volts, repair wire(s) in question.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Gray control module connector No. 1. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Black wire between connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace keyless entry module. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire.
