Fa-3 Solenoid Check At Abs Control Unit

1991 Ford Probe GL, StandardSECTION Fa-3 Solenoid Check At Abs Control Unit
  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect ABS control unit. Set ohmmeter to appropriate setting for test being conducted.
NOTE: Set ohmmeter to 200-k/ohm scale for first reading in each test and then 200-ohm scale for second reading.
  2. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/White and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/White and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms.
  3. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/Red and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/Red and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms.
  4. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/Green and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Yellow/Green and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms.
  5. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Blue and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Blue and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms.
  6. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Black/White and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Black/White and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms.
  7. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Brown and hydraulic control unit Black & Red/Yellow wires. Resistance should be greater than 10 k/ohms. Measure resistance between ABS control unit Brown and hydraulic control unit Black/Yellow wires. Resistance should be 0-4 ohms. If resistance readings are correct, replace ABS control unit. If resistance readings are not correct, repair wire in question. If all checks out okay, go to FA-4 SOLENOID CHECK AT HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNITΒ  .
