Hydraulic Control Unit
The hydraulic control unit contains a high pressure gas actuator assembly, an electric pump to provide pressure to hydraulic system for ABS operation, solenoid and cut-off valves to modulate brake hydraulic pressure at each wheel, a pressure switch, proportioning valve and fluid reservoir. The internal electric pump supplies pressure for ABS system to reapply or increase hydraulic pressure as required for maximum braking without wheel lock-up. See Fig 1 .

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
