ISA/ISC Motor
- Disconnect motor connector. Connect Idle Motor Tester (7088) to ISA/ISC motor. For proper connection, it will be necessary to modify Idle Motor Tester (7088). Cut a groove in terminal "A" the same size and shape as grooves in terminals "B" and "D".
- Connect Idle Motor Tester (7088) to vehicle battery. Start engine. Put Idle Motor Tester's switch in "RETRACT" position. ISA/ISC motor should retract and engine idle speed should decrease. If ISA/ISC motor retracts and engine speed decreases, go to next step. If ISC motor does not retract, replace ISA/ISC motor.
- Put idle motor tester's switch in "EXTEND" position. ISA/ISC motor should extend and engine speed should increase. If motor does not extend, replace motor. If motor responds correctly, motor is functioning properly.
