- Turn ignition off. Disconnect memory set switch harness connector. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, check memory position 2 status. If OPEN is not displayed, go to next step. If OPEN is displayed, replace memory set switch.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) harness connector C1. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink/White wire) at memory set switch harness connector. See Figure . If resistance is greater than 1000 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/White wire between memory set switch and MHSMM.
