- With the ignition switch in the OFF position simultaneously press the C/T and STEP buttons and hold.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON position, then release C/T and STEP buttons.
- The CMTC should light all segments on the Vacuum Florescent Display Screen (VFDS) for 2-4 seconds. Check for segments that are not illuminated.
- If the CMTC displays PASS, the module is OK.
- If the CMTC displays FAIL, replace the module.
- If the CMTC displays BUS, check for an open or a shorted on the PCI bus communication circuit.
- Press the C/T or the STEP button to exit the self diagnostic test.
