2002 Chrysler Voyager ECFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Driver Blend Door Not Responding

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TESTΒ  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect driver blend door actuator harness connector. Disconnect ATC module C1 connector. Check for short to ground in driver blend door driver "A" circuit. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and ATC module C1 connector terminal No. 2 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire). See Figure. If reading is less than 100 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Blue/Light Green wire. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If reading is 100 k/ohms or more, go to next step.
  2. Check for short to ground in driver blend door driver "B" circuit. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and ATC module C1 connector terminal No. 1 (Light Blue/White wire). See Figure. If reading is less than 100 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Light Blue/White wire. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If reading is 100 k/ohms or more, go to next step.
  3. Check for short between driver blend door driver "A" and "B" circuits. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ATC module C1 connector terminals No. 1 (Light Blue/White wire) and No. 2 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire). See Figure. If reading is less than 100 k/ohms, repair short between Light Blue/White wire and Dark Blue/Light Green wire. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If reading is 100 k/ohms or more, go to next step.
  4. Measure resistance in Dark Blue/Light Green wire between driver blend door actuator harness connector and ATC module C1 connector terminal No. 2. See Figure. If reading is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If readings is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Dark Blue/Light Green wire. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING.
  5. Measure resistance in Light Blue/White wire between driver blend door actuator harness connector and ATC module C1 connector terminal No. 1. See Figure. If reading is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If readings is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Light Blue/White wire. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING.
  6. Connect driver blend door actuator harness connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ATC module C1 connector terminals No. 1 (Light Blue/White wire) and No. 2 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire). See Figure. If reading is 26-46 ohms, replace faulty ATC module. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING. If reading is not 26-46 ohms, go to next step.
  7. Replace faulty driver blend door actuator. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATIONΒ  under PROGRAMMING. After repair, go to next step.
