Compass/Temp Module Does Not Calibrate

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TESTΒ  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Perform the compass/temp module self-check. Turn the ignition off. Depress and hold the STEP button. Turn the ignition on and then release the STEP button. The compass/temp module will illuminate all of the VF segments and then display an "F" or "P". Exit the self-check by depressing the STEP button or cycling the ignition. If the compass/temp module displayed an "F" during the self-check, replace the compass/temp module. After replacing the compass/temp module, it must be calibrated to operate properly. If the compass/temp module did not display an "F" during the self-check, go to the next step.
  2. NOTE: Ensure that the vehicle has been properly demagnetized before attempting to calibrate the compass.
